Description: |
Supply and install one wood frame, truss construction picnic pavilion with concrete slab on grade base and metal roofing. The contractor will be responsible for the removal of any gravel currently in place to ensure the concrete slab is flush with grade to provide accessible access. Contractor will be responsible to ensure there is sufficient granular base material to accept the new structure, minimum of 6” compacted gravel. Existing gravel base shall be level and plate compacted. Any gravel that is to be removed for construction will be removed at the cost of the contractor. Contractor is to provide site protection at all times during construction. Contractor is responsible for frost protection of concrete slab on grade if installed during frost producing timeframes. Color of roofing to be confirmed by Township prior to installation. Contractor is responsible to provide and install sediment control fencing. Building and LSRCA permits will be obtained by the Township and provided to the contractor for display during construction. All inspections are to be arranged by the Contractor at the required intervals. Any inspections missed are the sole responsibility of the contractor to rectify any deficiencies at their own expense. Any costs for re-inspections or deficiencies outside of the approved drawings and plans are the sole responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall ensure all health and safety practices consistent with this type of work are strictly adhered to and shall be responsible for any incidents and violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. A properly stocked and approved First Aid Kit shall be on site at all times during work along with at least one worker currently trained to Basic First Aid. |
